The Sussex-Lisbon Youth Baseball Association’s "SLYBA" Recreational Baseball Program for children in 4K through 8th grade who are looking for an opportunity to experience organized recreational baseball or softball. The SLYBA program is designed to teach players the fundamentals of baseball or softball while having fun.
Sussex Lisbon Youth Baseball is the original developmental baseball league for the Sussex, Lisbon and nearby communities. The league was founded in 1983. While registration in the league has risen and fallen, at its peak SLYBA provided a youth baseball experience for more than 500 children in the community. The goals of our program are to provide a fun, developmental environment for our children to experience the game. We embody the spirit and values that every player plays, every game. That winning isn't the only thing, but wanting to win is. That this is a game, intended for fun. We aim to offer a program that keeps enrollment at a high number and that adult volunteers are available to provide this opportunity for our children.
