Is residency a requirement?

No, residency is not a requirement. Typically, most of our players attend the Hamilton School District, but we do welcome players from any district or community. 

Do I need to register before I can play?

When does registration open?

Registration opens around  Jan 1st of each year. 

When does registration close? 

Registration will close on February 15th this year. 

How may players are on a team?

There is about 10-12 players per team. 

What equipment will I need?

SLYBA provides uniforms, game balls, practice balls, catcher gear, helmets, pitching machines and 4k-5k tee ball equipment. The equipment that each player will need for practices and games will be cleats, socks, bats, batting gloves, and mitts. Players may bring their own helmets, however each team is provided with team helmets. 

Other Program Information

• Teams are broken down by grade into 4 leagues/divisions: 4k & 5k, 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 5th & 6th, 7th & 8th, 9th & 10th (Child's grade as of the registration deadline)
• Practices are held at various parks throughout Sussex and Lisbon.
• For some divisions, games are held at various parks throughout Sussex, Lisbon, and in some divisions nearby communities. 
• Team practices are held 2x per week during the month of May on weeknights
• Teams play 1 to 2 games per week in June & July
• Most games are scheduled on weeknights at 6:00 p.m.
  
• Coaches & league organizers meet prior to the season in attempt to distribute player talent equally among the teams in each age division; Returning players can generally expect to have new coaches & new teammates each season
• Parent volunteer coaches are needed! (Children are automatically assigned to their parent's team)
• Players are required to participate in their respective age division. Exceptions may be made in extenuating circumstances -- Head Coaches with multiple children in the program may qualify
